This week, we'll be celebrating our wonderful volunteers by featuring one Viewer's Choice Winner per day. Please enjoy this spotlight and the little extras shared by our winners!
Thank you to Osie for taking photos of our winners.
Our final spotlight is Kathy Sellstrom, one of Pieced Quilt winners!
What Kathy has to say about her quilt:
"I saw several photos of quilts using this pattern on one of the quilt groups I follow. Each quilt had a different predominant color - one in pinks/red, one in purples, one in lime greens. The pattern immediately grabbed my eye! The collection of fabrics in my challenge packet this year offered a great opportunity to try out the pattern. I was working from a photo but have since learned the pattern is called "Heather's Lacy Heart" from the book "Quick and Easy Romantic Quilts" by Sandy Berry.
One of the things I liked about this pattern, aside from its visual appeal, is that it is easily scaled to different sizes, depending on how large you want the quilt or how small you are willing to make 9-patch blocks.
Participating in the Linus Quilt Challenge is one of the things I look forward to every year. I'm so happy to have been a part of the challenge for many years and that The Linus Connection was able to continue with the challenge this year in a virtual format. Great job!"
