The Linus Connection: 2018 Challenge & Birthday Celebration!

On October 20, 2018, The Linus Connection celebrated our 19th Birthday and our 14th Annual Challenge!

Our meeting included Special Guests, Raffle Quilt winner, a Silent Auction, gorgeous quilts and blankets made by our amazing volunteers, prizes, and more!

Our Birthday meeting included very special guests from Threads of Love, Williamson County CAC, WIC & more. We are honored to have had such special guests at our Birthday Celebration.
♥ Raffle Quilt ♥

Saturday's meeting was the final chance to purchase tickets for our 2018 Raffle Quilt, All Around Texas.

And the winner is Cindy Sharpnack! Cindy was not present for the drawing.

Congratulations, Cindy, and thank you to everyone who helped make this quilt happen. Thanks to those who purchased tickets to support The Linus Connection!

All Around Texas raised over $2000!

The 2018 Silent Auction raised $3978, tripling last year's total!

Volunteers and visitors alike had the opportunity to see all of our beautiful Challenge Quilts & Yarn Blankets and to cast their votes for favorites in three categories: Yarn, Applique Quilts, & Pieced Quilts. There are two favorites chosen from each category. Viewer's Choice Yarn favorites took home Joann Fabric & Craft Gifts Cards. Viewer's Choice Quilt favorites took home Honey Bee Quilt Store gift cards donated by the store.

♥ Challenge Quilts & Yarn Blankets ♥

For the first time in 14 years, our Challenge was moved inside due to all the rain we'd had up until Saturday morning. A special thanks goes out to St. Philip's for allowing us to use their beautiful chapel to display our 2018 Challenge Quilts & Yarn Blankets.
