IKEA Bags

Reminder! If you deliver blankets, please collect and return the blue IKEA bags to the sorting area during each meeting. Having plenty of bags on hand makes packing blankets for distribution much easier.

A big thanks goes out to all of our delivery volunteers for keeping up with our reusable bags!

Hobbs UPC Codes

To qualify to order “Charitable Batting” from Hobbs Bonded Fibers, we are required to provide UPC labels from Hobbs packaged batting.

If you are a quilter or know any quilters, please save your Hobbs UPC labels and either bring them to the monthly meeting or mail them to us at The Linus Connection, P.O. Box 29491, Austin, Texas 78755.

Please also ask any quilting friends you know to do this as well. We really depend on this batting to fulfill our deliveries each month.

Is your group or organization planning to make fleece blankets for The Linus Connection? We have two simple tutorials to help make the process painless!

All fleece blankets should be SINGLE LAYER and fall within our size guidelines. Click here to learn more.

New to Linus or just need a refresher? We have some basic guidelines to answer your questions about How Big? What Materials? and more!

Please remember: Paper Tags should include your first name at the top. ALL blankets should include a paper tag and a sew on label (see diagram).

The Linus Connection needs yarn donations. April 2014 photo yarndonationsneeded_thelinusconnection_zpsb01796a2.jpg

Our volunteers make hundreds of blankets each month to meet the need of children in crisis in Central Texas. To do this, many supplies are needed. We are constantly in need of washable 100% acrylic yarn. Leftovers to full skeins are gratefully accepted.

Have yarn? Bring it to the next Linus meeting or leave it at one of our Drop-Off locations clearly marked for The Linus Connection.

Not from the Austin area? Email Jennifer for the best address to mail yarn donations!
