We have some extra special photos for you today!
During QuiltCon, held here in Austin earlier this year, Timeless Treasures and Dear Stella had a very special event happening in their booth: QuiltCon participants and visitors could stop by and embellish Dear Stella’s Dress Me fabric for 10″ blocks. Those blocks would then go into a charity quilt.
Our friend Osie, longtime Linus volunteer and Fabric Advocate (I made that up, but it sounds right, doesn't it?!), was contacted by Timeless Treasures Fabrics and asked if we could do just that!

With Osie coordinating our volunteers to help, The Linus Connection made not one, but NINE quilts that went out with today's deliveries to children in crisis situations in Central Texas.
You can see the awesome volunteers that helped make this happen in the photo above.
Osie presents the QuiltCon quilts to Marge, Assistant Director of The Linus Connection.
And here they are below, all nine wonderful quilts!
Each quilt includes blocks from QuiltCon and either Timeless Treasures or Dear Stella Fabrics. Aren't they fun?

Each October, we celebrate our birthday month with a blanket challenge! Our volunteers create quilts and afghans and we host a small show of all the wonderful blankets. We hope you'll join us!

Our beautiful, volunteer-made Raffle Quilt will be available for viewing at Linus meetings now through October, when we will choose the winner.
Look for volunteer sign-ups for ticket sales during monthly meetings.

Our volunteers make hundreds of blankets each month to meet the need of children in crisis in Central Texas. To do this, many supplies are needed. We are constantly in need of washable 100% acrylic yarn. Leftovers to full skeins are gratefully accepted.
Have yarn? Bring it to the next Linus meeting or leave it at one of our Drop-Off locations clearly marked for The Linus Connection.

Each month after Show & Tell, we present free, short demonstrations of blanket making techniques to our volunteers.

Show And Tell
Blankets were shown and donated on Saturday July 18, 2015. They are not necessarily being shown by the person that made them. Only a sampling of donated blankets is shown each month.
We encourage you to join us at our monthly meeting and participate in Show and Tell at 10 a.m.
