2015 Challenge sign-ups have begun!
Each October, we celebrate our birthday month with a blanket challenge! Our volunteers create quilts and afghans and we host a small show of all the wonderful blankets. We hope you'll join us!
Join us for a Sew Day! Bring your sewing machine and we'll provide all materials needed to make Weighted Blankets. We'll be there all day, so consider bringing your lunch. Snacks are also appreciated. Drinks are available for cash purchase at the Stitching Studio.
Check out our wonderful 2015 Raffle Quilt, "Totally Texas!"
Our beautiful, volunteer-made quilt will be available for viewing at Linus meetings now through October, when we will choose the winner.
Look for volunteer sign-ups for ticket sales on the Linus Yahoo! Group and during monthly meetings.

Weighted Blankets
We continue to have requests for weighted blankets. Stephanie has created printable handouts for anyone wishing to help with this special project:
- Weighted Blankets - Pellet Pocket Instructions
- Weighted Blankets - Pieced Tops (most needed sizes)
You can now find all this information by click on Weighted Blankets in the menu at the top of this page!

REMINDER: When making quilts for The Linus Connection, please AVOID the following fabrics:
- Scary, violent or adult images (skeletons, liquor, etc.)
- Religious or Holiday-themed (Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, Halloween, etc.)
- Complete blanket specifications are here.
For those of you turning in quilt tops wider than 40" for quilting, please include a pieced back that is at least 4" wider and 4" longer than the top. It helps save our volunteer quilters a lot of time if they do not have to find or piece backs wide enough for the larger tops.

Our volunteers make hundreds of blankets each month to meet the need of children in crisis in Central Texas. To do this, many supplies are needed. We are constantly in need of washable 100% acrylic yarn. Leftovers to full skeins are gratefully accepted.
Have yarn? Bring it to the next Linus meeting or leave it at one of our Drop-Off locations clearly marked for The Linus Connection.
Not from the Austin area? Email Jennifer for the best address to mail yarn donations!

Show And Tell
Blankets were shown and donated on Saturday June 20, 2015. They are not necessarily being shown by the person that made them. Only a sampling of donated blankets is shown each month.
We encourage you to join us at our monthly meeting and participate in Show and Tell at 10 a.m.
The Linus Connection is a Federal 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.
