December Holiday Celebration!
We'd like to invite all our blanketeers to join us for some Holiday Cheer during our December 2014 meeting! Please bring a snack or other goody to share. We will have the special treat of live music presented especially for The Linus Connection!
There will be no Demo in December to allow more time to enjoy the company of our fellow volunteers.
Winter Warmth
The winter months increase the need for donated blankets greatly. Our volunteers work very hard every month, and we can't thank you enough! If we have even more hands, we might just be able to provide security and warmth to the children of Central Texas that really need it during this time of year. We ask that if you know a quilter, knitter, crocheter, sewing group or others that might be able to help lend a hand during the winter months and beyond, please reach out.
As always, we thank you from the bottom of our scrappy, pieced hearts for your support!

IKEA Bags
As most of you know, we deliver our blankets in blue IKEA bags. We're putting the call out for our bags to come home so we can refill them with blankety goodness for our facilities. If you are a delivery person, please be sure to collect bags to return for next month's deliveries. A big thank you to everyone that help get blankets to and from our meetings.
Pieced Quilt Backs
For those of you turning in quilt tops wider than 40" for quilting, please include a pieced back that is at least 4" wider and 4" longer than the top. It helps save our volunteer quilters a lot of time if they do not have to find or piece backs wide enough for the larger tops. Complete blanket specifications are here.

If you have a link to a pattern that is available for free online that you would like to share, please email jennifer@thelinusconnection.org.

We'll be there all day, so consider bringing your lunch. Snacks are also appreciated. Drinks are available for cash purchase at the Stitching Studio.
