The Linus Connection: March 2014 Meeting, Show & Tell and February Workday

Calling All Yarn!

Do you have washable acrylic yarn stashed away in every nook and cranny? Do you need to clean out those odds and ends of yarn left over from projects past? Bring your clean, usable yarn to the next Linus meeting and share with our lovely crochet and knit ladies! They will turn your used-to-love-it and leftover yarn into gorgeous afghans to donate to children in crisis in Central Texas!

Camp Quilts

It's time for camp blankets! We will begin our annual collection of Camp Quilts at our March 2014 meeting. Please remember that the camp facilities can only accept quilts because yarn and fleece blankets like leaves and twigs a bit too much! During Camp Quilt collection, we will continue to provide quilts, yarn and fleece blankets for distribution to our usual recipient other facilities. Camp quilts need are larger sizes for school-aged children, ages 7 - 17. Thank you to everyone that donates every month and for helping to make camp quilt donations possible!

Workday at The Stitching Studio

Thank you to everyone that came out for February Work Day at The Stitching Studio! We had a great day of sewing and crocheting for Linus!

If you missed it last month, save the date for Saturday, July 26, 2014 at The Stitching Studio, 9:30 - 4:30. The Stitching Studio is located at 12325 Hymeadow Dr., Bldg. 4 - 102, across from Westwood High School.

Monthly Demo

Each month after Show & Tell, we present free, short demonstrations of blanket making techniques to our volunteers. If you have a fun pattern, some tips or other blanket-making ideas you'd like to share, please email Jennifer.

Show And Tell

Blankets were shown and donated on Saturday, March 15, 2014. They are not necessarily being shown by the person that made them. Only a sampling of donated blankets is shown each month.

We encourage you to join us at our monthly meeting and participate in Show and Tell at 10 a.m.
