2013 Challenge and Birthday Celebration

On October 19, 2013, The Linus Connection celebrated our 14th Birthday and our 9th Annual Challenge!

It was a beautiful, crisp, clear morning full of good food, gorgeous quilts and afghans and very good friends!

9th Annual Challenge

Osie explains this year's Challenge. We offered gorgeous sets of Hoffman batiks for our Quilt Challenge. For yarn blankets, we offered bright happy yarn from Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn.
Viewer's Choice Favorite Quilts & Yarn Blankets! Visitors and volunteers alike had a chance to vote on their three favorite blankets for 2013. The top two quilts and top two yarn blankets were chosen for the Viewer's Choice awards.

The Meeting

Our meeting included lots of blanket packing and sorting, great donated fabrics, wonderful treats brought by our volunteers, a fun silent auction with donations helping buy supplies, lots of great door prizes and a fun guessing game!

Our Second Annual Silent Auction, all proceeds going to blanket making supplies.
