The Linus Connection is a Central Texas 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to make and deliver handmade security blankets for children in crisis situations in our area. The blankets go to children in hospital emergency rooms, in crisis centers, in foster care, battered women's shelters, to any child who is in need of a little extra security in their lives.

6th Annual Blanket Challenge!
This year's Challenge was "orange!" Quilter's received a piece of orange fabric to incorporate into their quilts. Knitters and crocheters received one of a variety of orange yarns. The challenge was to use the orange fabric or yarn in a quilt or afghan using any pattern or design the Linus Volunteer chose.
All visitors, volunteers and Recipient Facilities had the opportunity to vote for their favorites. The top 3 blankets received gift cards to Hobby Lobby or Honey Bee Quilt Store.

In addition to all the wonderful challenge blankets, donations and having special guests, Linus celebrated by with door prizes, food, and of course, our usual blanket sorting and packing!
