Challenge Rules:
This year, quilters are being provided with a fat quarter of tone on tone orange fabric. You chose the pattern/design and how many coordinating cotton fabrics to add to the challenge fabric to complete your quilt. Coordinating fabrics can be found at Honey Bee or any local quilt store.
For the crocheters and knitters, your blanket must include an orange or peach yarn as a major component of the blanket. One or more coordinating colors may be added if you wish. We will have peach and orange yarn at all meetings, as well as Honey Bee, during the challenge months.
All standard Linus blanket requirements apply. All blankets must be complete, including quilting, binding and Linus labels attached (to the back of the blanket) to be displayed. All blankets must be a minimum of 36" x 36" or larger.
The blankets will be displayed at the October Linus meeting for members, visitors and special guests to enjoy. Each Challenge blanket maker will receive a pin for participation.
After the Challenge is over, all Challenge entries will belong to The Linus Connection and will be distributed to one or more of our recipient facilities.
The deadline for turning in your Challenge entry is 9:30 am on October 16, 2010. They may be, and are encouraged to be, turned in early.
